The area of Virginia where the James River passes around Williamsburg is called Tidewater. Well known for its great Bluefish, many people make frequent fishing trips to the area. Fishermen always put their boats into the bay at Chiptank Creek. Near the landing, on a slight rise is a fine old home which is the subject of many local legends. Native residents believe the log part of the house was made from cypress logs and was built before the Revolutionary War. The larger portion was added in 1784 as a new nation was emerging. This vision of the old house and plantation, with its old Indian name, is one of great history.

Traditional American Concepts presents a modern version, suitable for the large family of today, complete with 'Ma and Pa' , kitchen / dining area and a mud room for cleaning dirty vegetables and boots. The log section serves as an excellent addition for either a guest room or family room.
